Internship 101
We’ve organised an insightful session on students’ internship experiences within the tech industry. Students were given tips on how to enhance their resumes by an HR professional, and had a Q&A session with her and 3rd year students about their internship experiences and how they got them.
Attendees left with a better understanding of applying to the tech industry and what they can expect during their internships. Read more
THE INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE
To inspire and motivate aspiring software engineers, SKIP hosted a session with an employee from Amazon Web Services (AWS). The employee presented steps towards applying for an internship at AWS as well as their experience working at AWS. The session provided a clear and informative view into Big Tech for the members of the session. Read more
Create something Lovable - Hackathon
SKIP, in partnership with Lovable, launched a three-day hackathon focused on building “Minimum Lovable Products”. The event, fueled by Red Bull, had contestants brainstorming creative solutions for the UI/UX and Innovation & Originality categories! Their following MVPs were presented to our judges from GU Ventures, the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers Technical University so that they could receive valuable feedback. Online Presence, Communication, and Social Media
We are continuing to further develop our website which provides information about the organisation and its events. In order to promote the visibility of the website, promotional material such a posters and social media posts (shared on LinkedIn, Discord and Instagram) were created and displayed. We hope to further enhance the experience of using our website in the upcoming months!
Overall, the academic year 2025/2026 was filled with successful events and activities in order to support the academic growth for all involved. SKIP will continue in promoting a professional, safe and enriching environment to the academic community.
